SHORT NOTICE: Costa Mesa Outsourcing Debate Today
We realize that this is very short notice, but if you're a libertarian in Orange County looking for something to do today, the Register reports that a public debate on the Costa Mesa outsourcing plan will be taking place at noon in Newport Beach. Speaking in favor of the plan, of course, will be City Councilmen Jim Righeimer and Steve Mensinger; speaking against will be Jennifer Muir and Nick Berardino of the Orange County Employees Association. So, if you're interested in getting a glimpse of what many call "ground zero" in the movement to scale back government in California, head over to the Coco's at Fashion Island in Newport at noon today.
