Rumors of Our Death Have Been . . . Well, No One was Spreading Them

Apologies for our long hiatus. Sadly, sometimes real life gets in the way of blogging. A close family member recently had major surgery; everything is fine now, but for a while the additional duties kept us from having the time for writing here. Happily, though, we're back.

On another personal note, we were saddened to learn about the recent passing of David Farnsworth, from complications of ALS. He was just 59. Dave was the co-proprietor of the Lucky Baldwin's pub in Old Pasadena, one of southern California's great "beer geek" destinations and an excellent pub to boot. During the two years we lived in Old Town, we spent more time at Lucky's than we'd care to admit, and loved the place. Rest in peace, Owner Dave.
